Jio Platforms appoints Dan Bailey as President

Jio Platforms Limited (JPL) on Tuesday appointed Dan Bailey as President of Jio Platforms to lead the company’s international business initiatives. Based in London, Bailey will report to Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited.

Bailey will join the Executive Committee of Jio Platforms Limited and will contribute broadly across the business, with over 35 years of experience across consulting and investment banking. He has held senior leadership roles at Schroders/Citi, Morgan Stanley, and HSBC and recently served as the Chairman of Deutsche Bank’s TMT practice. Over the course of his career, Bailey has advised many of the world’s largest corporates and financial sponsors on a broad range of transformative transactions, including consequential telecom deals. The move is in line with JPL’s last annual general meeting (AGM) statements of Jio’s next chapter extending beyond India.
