New Delhi-based visa processing platform Atlys on Monday raised $36 million in a Series C funding round led by Susquehanna Asia VC.
Existing investors Elevation Capital, Long Journey Ventures, and Peak XV Partners (formerl ySequoia Capital India) participated in the round. MakeMyTrip joined as a new investor.
The company said the new funding will support expansion into additional international markets. It will also support the development of its artificial intelligence roadmap.
Atlys plans to integrate artificial intelligence across the visa process, including document verification, eligibility assessment, and traveller support.
The company also plans to expand regulatory integrations and partnerships to support visa access.
The company said it has processed about 450,000 visas since its previous funding round. It also reported 11-fold growth since its Series B in 2024.
Atlys said it is now operating at a run rate of more than 700,000 visas annually.
The company has expanded into markets including the United Arab Emirates, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. These markets now account for about half of its business.
“Atlys is currently on a 700K+ annual visa run rate,” said, Mohak Nahta, founder and chief executive officer of Atlys. “As rising incomes drive a surge in global travel and cross-border experiences, the scale of the opportunity ahead is significant.”
Nahta added that the company aims to remove barriers in international travel.
Removing obstacles that prevent people from exploring the world is Atlys’ mission. The ability of one’s ability to travel should not be determined by passport strength, he said.
“For millions of travellers, the visa is the first gate to international travel,” said Sai Araveti, investment advisor at Susquehanna Asia VC.
Araveti said that Atlys is making cross-border travel more reliable by automating visa applications, improving approval outcomes and providing greater transparency on processing timelines.
Atlys was founded in 2021 by Mohak Nahta. The platform allows travellers to discover, apply for and manage visas across more than 120 destinations.
The company previously raised a Series B round in 2024, led by Peak XV Partners and Elevation Capital. Earlier funding rounds included investments from Andreessen Horowitz and South Park Commons.
