In line with industry expectations, , Dhurandhar : The Revenge has grossed ₹ 761 crore in worldwide box office collections in the opening weekend. At the India box office, the movie garnered gross box office collections of ₹550 crore and nett collections of ₹466 crore during this period. At the same time it has garnered overseas collections of ₹211 crore in the four day period.
According to an official statement by Jio Studios & B62 Studios, the movie garnered nett collections of ₹145 crore on Day 1 at the domestic box office on Thursday, which includes collections of paid preview shows that were held on Wednesday. The movie’s net India collections stood at ₹83 crore on Friday, ₹117 crore on Saturday and ₹121 crore on Sunday.
New Benchmark
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said the movie has set a new record in terms of fastest film to garner Rs 300 crore and Rs 400 crore in collections. “#Dhurandhar2 has set new benchmarks over the extended weekend – the hype is unbelievable, unprecedented, and unimaginable.From the paid previews [Wednesday, 5 pm onwards] to Sunday, #Dhurandhar2 remains unstoppable, facing capacity issues at several locations despite round the clock screenings,” said trade analyst, Taran Adarsh on X.
According to trade website Sacnilk, the spy action thriller delivered a “4-day extended opening weekend collection of around 430 crores nett in Hindi” ,making it the “biggest first week grosser of all-time in a single language at the Indian box office “ beating Pushpa 2 (Rs 425.10 crore).
Welcome Jolt
The spy action thriller, which is written and directed by Aditya Dhar, is a sequel to the 2025 film, Dhurandhar. The film’s success has come as a respite for the multiplex industry, which had been witnessing sluggish collections during Q4 FY26.
Karan Taurani, EVP, Elara Securities in an analyst report last week, had stated that Q4FY26 box office collections had been largely tepid before the release of Dhurandhar : The Revenge except for success of movies such as Border 2 (and the regional language movie, The Raja Saab . The movie will aid higher footfalls and occupancies and is also expected to drive higher average ticket price for premium formats, he noted.
