OnCost, positioned as Kuwait’s first wholesaler to open its doors to individual consumers, has transitioned from legacy systems to a microservices-led architecture through this implementation. The platform has been rolled out across its store network to enable a next-generation in-store retail framework built around real-time responsiveness and customer interaction.

The transition replaces monolithic infrastructure with a cloud-native foundation designed to respond, learn and evolve with each transaction. The deployment comes amid rising consumer expectations and increasing digital adoption in the Kuwait retail market.

As part of the rollout, OnCost gains a unified omnichannel environment integrating physical stores with digital touchpoints through a single data layer. The system enables real-time inventory visibility across branches, aimed at reducing stock mismatches and improving operational accuracy.
The platform also introduces high-speed, dual-screen point-of-sale systems to improve checkout throughput and customer engagement. In addition, API-led loyalty programmes allow targeted campaigns and personalised rewards based on customer behaviour.
The eMACH.ai Retail 6DX platform delivers multiple operational capabilities, including cloud-native billing systems for business continuity and faster transaction processing. It also includes AI-driven rewards programmes that analyse customer shopping patterns to offer rule-based cashback aligned with spending habits.

The system provides access to over 30 customised analytics reports covering metrics such as hourly transactions, footfall and conversion rates, enabling data-led decision-making. It also supports rapid onboarding of new stores and staff training, allowing scalability without operational delays.
The platform’s promotion engine is designed to handle complex pricing structures and bulk discount models used by OnCost, supporting its wholesale-to-retail business format.
“Our mission has always been to provide the best value and experience to our members. With eMACH.ai Retail 6DX, we have a platform that mirrors our ambition – deeply local, infinitely scalable, and intelligently connected. By eliminating operational complexity and delivering instant insights, we are now better equipped to serve the Kuwaiti community with agility and precision,” said Rajan Thomas, Group CTO at OnCost.
