This Mars-ruled New Moon conjoins wounded-healer Chiron (26 deg). Here’s a new chapter that blends impulse with enhanced feelings of vulnerability.
It takes more courage to move forward with the pain, because this is the wound that never completely fades. There will always be a reminder of where you’re weak or struggling with doubts about your right to simply be. The key to healing is not to wait until these issues are neatly resolved – there will always be raw moments but true courage means pushing ahead anyway.
You’re heading into new territory and you’ll feel extra sensitive, but you’re not moving thoughtlessly, you’re not panicking – Chiron adds an empathetic prompt to the assertive push. So maybe you’re fighting for someone or forgiving yourself for stumbling along the way. Maybe you’re just accepting that this is a highly sensitive moment but there’s no time like now to get moving, so off you go.
Feeling vulnerable does not make you incapable.
Mars is applying to a conjunction with Saturn (exact on Apr 19th) and you’ll certainly sense that approaching barrier during this New Moon. The looming commitment, rule or line in the sand will slow you down – you will have to proceed with caution and focus. You will have to obey certain commandments and do the extra work.
You’re carrying the hurt and tackling the obligations but Saturn also supplies the backbone you’ll need to carry that hurt. Saturn helps you build strength and you might surprise yourself by how much you can lift.
Remember, this is a new approach to healing: the head -on confrontation and bold admission that you’re hurting but it’s not going to stop you. You may be moving more carefully but (and here’s Saturn’s gift) this is how you earn respect: you prove (Saturn) that you have what it takes to advance with the wisdom that pain grants.
