Simply Sustainable, a London-based sustainability consultancy firm, has acquired Carbon Responsible. The provider of carbon management and accounting solutions from Shoreditch will boost Simply Sustainable’s technical expertise and ESG service lines.
Established in 2011, Carbon Responsible supports organisations with measuring, managing and reducing their environmental impact. The firm’s offerings include carbon accounting and footprinting, emissions management and reporting, and carbon assurance.
Commenting on the deal, Alastair MacGregor, CEO of Simply Sustainable, said, “Bringing Carbon Responsible into Simply Sustainable is an exciting step in our growth journey and a natural fit for both organisations. This deal strengthens our ability to support organisations wherever they are on their sustainability journey, from meeting compliance requirements to creating long-term business value.”
Founded in 2010, Simply Sustainable is an award-winning sustainability consultancy. The firm offers a wide range of sustainability services, and also has a suite of AI-enabled solutions to support decarbonisations ambitions.

The deal is the first for Simply Sustainable since it brought Agathos Management on board to drive its growth ambition. Since the arrival of the investor, the firm has expanded its offerings and team in the UK market, and grown its presence in the Netherlands, where has an office in Amsterdam.
