Summer Game Fest 2026 has been and gone for another year, but it left us with plenty of new games and DLC to look forward to! A lot was announced at the event, so much so that it’s hard to keep track of it all. If you’re low on time or your wishlist is already too long as it is, we’ve got all the highlights for you here. But be warned—your wallet might not like it! At least you will, though.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation

If you’ve been playing the Final Fantasy VII remake, you’ll be very excited to hear that part 3, FFVII: Revelation, is officially on its way. Given that this was the game’s first introduction, we don’t have a whole lot of information to go off of. What we can tell from the trailer, though, is that the combat looks absolutely epic.

It’s also going to be more open than previous installments, giving players far more flexibility in how they shape their adventure. The final installment of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy will be coming to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch 2 in spring of 2027.

Stellar Blade: Blood Rain

Stellar Blade was a massive hit upon its release in 2024, and it’s officially getting a sequel by the name Stellar Blade: Blood Rain. We didn’t get quite as much information about this as we did FFVII, but the announcement is enough to tide me over. At least we know it’s coming! The biggest surprise of the announcement was the revelation that Eve wouldn’t be the protagonist this time around. Instead, gamers will be playing as Evie, a brand-new heroine.

While we don’t know much about the release yet, we do know that it will still be set in the same universe and take place after the events of the first game. If Stellar Blade has been on your radar for a while, now would be a great time to play it so you’re ready to go when the sequel releases!

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance

Monster Hunter Wilds is getting a long-awaited and massive expansion by the name of Ascendance. This expansion features a whole new area, new monsters, new abilities, and even Elder Dragons. The next leg of your Monster Hunter Wilds adventure is set to release on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC sometime in 2027.

Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendance

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance DLC Officially Confirmed for 2027

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance will release in 2027 with a brand new region, new monsters, Elder Dragons, and Master Rank quests.

The Blood of Dawnwalker

The Blood of Dawnwalker is a dark fantasy action RPG from Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by former CD Projekt Red developers. If you were wondering why it looked so good, that explains it! This wasn’t technically an announcement, as the game was previously revealed in January 2025. But there was a brand-new trailer shown at Summer Game Fest 2026, and it looks very promising.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is set to release in September 2026, which is fast approaching, and it looks very polished from what we can tell from the trailers. In terms of late 2026 game releases, this is definitely one to put on your wishlist. This title is coming to the PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, and preorders are already available.

Lords of the Fallen 2

Lords of the Fallen 2, an action role-playing video game developed by Hexworks, was another highlight of this year’s Summer Game Fest. We already knew this game was coming, but Summer Game Fest blessed us with a new trailer, info about a new katana weapon class, new bosses, new locations, a tighter release window, and release platforms.

Lords of the Fallen 2 will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PC, and the Nintendo Switch 2 this fall. The Nintendo Switch 2 announcement wasn’t technically revealed at Summer Game Fest, but it was in the June 10th Nintendo Direct, so I included that little bonus just for you.

Saw: Genesis

If you’re a fan of the Saw movie franchise, your deep yearning for gore will be satisfied yet again. And this time, in video game form. That means it will be all the more visceral than the movie experience, so play at your own risk! It does look very cool, though, so if you have the stomach for it, this could be a winner. It is an asymmetrical multiplayer game similar to Dead by Daylight, so at least you won’t be playing alone like in previous Saw games!

There is no official release date for Saw: Genesis yet, but according to its Steam page, there are plans for it to release in early access later this year.

1666 Amsterdam

1666 Amsterdam is my personal Summer Game Fest highlight, and it comes with its own lore! This title was originally conceptualized by ex-Ubisoft developer and creative director Patrice Désilets. This brain child was conceived more than a decade ago before being canned. After various legal disputes, 1666 Amsterdam is finally coming to fruition, and it looks incredible.

This action adventure is set in Amsterdam in 1666, shockingly enough, although you do get to travel to other time periods, as well. The story follows a witch as she navigates the city, defeating ancient demonic beings known as the Orginals as she goes. It looks dark, historically rich, and very epic. We have no release window for 1666 Amsterdam yet, but the fact that it’s coming at all is already a massive win.

gen Atlas

Fumito Ueda, the man, the myth, and the legend behind masterpieces like Shadow of the Colossus and Ico, is now working on gen Atlas, previously teased at the 2024 Game Awards under the codename Project: Robot. This title is an open-world sci-fi adventure featuring massive structures, abandoned facilities, and an expansive open world to explore.

This title is still shrouded in mystery, so we don’t have a release date or window yet. We do, however, know that it’s set to release on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5.

Alien: Isolation 2

If Saw: Genesis wasn’t enough to itch that horrifying scratch you’ve got, Alien: Isolation 2 just might be! This one is set on a space station rather than a spaceship, so it will hopefully be a little less claustrophobic. There will still be aliens, though, so don’t expect too much of a reprieve.

This was the game’s debut announcement, so we don’t have many intricate details, such as a solid release date. We do know, however, that it’s coming to the Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS5, and the Nintendo Switch 2 at some point in the future.

Resident Evil: Veronica

The rumors were true! A Resident Evil – Code: Veronica remake is on the way. This will fully revamp the 2000 survival horror classic that was RE – Code: Veronica with Capcom’s propriety RE Engine, and it’s great to see such an important installment in the timeline join the other Resident Evil remakes in the modern age.

The announcement brought with it a large release window of 2027, and it will be coming to the PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and the Nintendo Switch 2.
