Adani Mundra Airport on Tuesday commenced its scheduled commercial flight operations with the launch of air services connecting Mundra to Mumbai and Goa, marking a significant milestone in strengthening connectivity in the Kutch region.

The new services, operated in partnership with regional carrier Star Air, are expected to boost trade, commerce, tourism, and logistics by providing faster access to key cities across India. Apart from Mumbai and Goa, Star Air will connect Mundra with Hindon, Surat, Belagavi, Bengaluru, Kolhapur, and Nanded, creating a network of eight destinations from the airport.
Adani Mundra Airport has begun scheduled flights, connecting Mundra with Mumbai, Goa and eight destinations, boosting regional trade, logistics, tourism and last-mile connectivity for Mundra Port and Mundra SEZ.
The launch of these services is expected to reduce travel time considerably and provide improved last-mile connectivity for businesses operating in and around Mundra, which houses India’s largest commercial port and one of the country’s largest multi-product Special Economic Zones (SEZs). Officials said the airport is being developed as a fully integrated multi-modal logistics and business hub, combining air connectivity with existing port and industrial infrastructure.
The airport features a 1,900-metre runway capable of handling various passenger and cargo aircraft. The terminal building includes passenger amenities such as multiple check-in counters, waiting lounges, parking facilities, a food court, wheelchair accessibility, and dedicated drop-off zones.
The enhanced connectivity is expected to support industries operating at Mundra Port and Mundra SEZ by improving the movement of people, cargo, and business operations. Industry observers believe the new air links could strengthen the region’s role in domestic and international supply chains.
The development also aligns with the Adani Group’s broader aviation portfolio. The conglomerate currently manages airports in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Mangaluru, Guwahati, and the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport.
With the commencement of scheduled flights, Mundra is expected to emerge as an important aviation gateway for Kutch, supporting regional economic growth, industrial development, and tourism in western Gujarat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xs31faRN0K8
