Stock Market LIVE: Sensex at day’s high, up 800 pts, Nifty above 24,000; bank stocks rise up to 4%

Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates, Wednesday, June 24, 2026: The Nifty50 and the Sensex were trading near day’s high as IT, private bank, and pharma stocks led.  

As of 2:00 PM, the Nifty50 was up 222.6 points or 0.93 per cent at 24,046.70, and the Sensex rose 1.08 per cent or 819.68 points to 77,020.36.

   Trent, InterGlobe Aviation, and ICICI Bank were the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.    In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and the Nifty SmallCap were trading 0.32 per cent and 0.19 per cent higher, respectively.  Sector-wise, the Nifty IT rose 2 per cent to lead gains among othe sectoral indices. The Nifty Bank, the Nifty Private Bank and the Nifty Realty also outperformed. The Nifty Metal, the Nifty Consumer Durables, and the Nifty Auto underperformed.
