Long Term Goals
This month, long-term goals are foreground. This is because of the Sun’s move through your fellow fire sign Aries and the sector of your horoscope which rules travel, study and the bigger picture. Being a Leo, the Sun is your ruler and the Sun is in Aries up until the 20th.
If you’re travelling or studying, you’re in tune with your stars. Also, as April progresses, you may be looking ahead to next year’s holiday or be keen to line up a study course or trip away. If you’re a typical Leo, you like to have a schedule or plan, something to look forward to.
The key to your success is to be focused and deal with one thing at a time. Don’t take on too much, don’t get overly carried away and deal with practicalities, without losing sight of your future goals or dreams.
This is important because the Sun isn’t the only planetary body in Aries. Two of the inner planets action planet Mars and talk planet Mercury join the Sun in Aries on the 9th and 14th respectively.
This is one reason why you may feel more restless as the inner planets stir up your fellow fire sign Aries. Aries rules your travel and study sector, an ideal time for adventure and to embrace new experiences.
Aries is a dynamic, motivated placing for Mars and Mercury but could prove frustrating if you can’t get away or embrace the freedom you desire. Travel or study plans may shift or change as Aries energy gets fired up big-time.
Full Moon/New Moon
In addition, both lunations – the Full Moon on the 2nd and the New Moon on the 17th – light up the Aries/Libra axis of the zodiac. You can’t help but be pulled out into the world when there’s activity in these sectors of your horoscope. This lights up foreign connections, community matters, schools, transport and education.
The Full Moon on the 2nd is a positive time to make a decision around travel or study, culture or learning. You might be at a workshop or course during the Full Moon phase. Or perhaps, you’re abroad and liaising with people from different backgrounds or cultures to yourself.
The New Moon on the 17th is a powerhouse of Aries’ energy as seven planetary bodies line up in the first star sign. This includes wounded healer Chiron which sits next to the Sun & Moon during the New Moon phase.
Perhaps, you’re feeling enraged about what’s happening in the world and this dictates what you’re willing to do, initiate or achieve. Chiron in Aries represents injustice and can be a catalyst or trigger for protest.
Don’t take any unnecessary risks on or around the New Moon but notice where life’s calling you forth.
Career Peaks
Also this month, there’s another key influence as the planet of relating Venus is in Taurus up until the 24th. And, your ruler the Sun enters Taurus, the star sign at the peak of your horoscope, on the 20th.
Taurus rules your career and vocation, your status and reputation. Therefore, this is a top month to focus on your future path, aim high and rev up your ambitious nature.
In fact, you may be so busy with your career or long-term goals that you have little time for your personal life. Do what’s right for you but it’s important to think carefully about where your priorities lie.
Instead of solely speeding ahead with career and big picture goals, find time to communicate with your loved ones so they’re supportive even if you’ve got deadlines to meet or you’re on a mission to make a difference in the world.
Uranus Enters Gemini
Finally this month, there’s a major planetary shift taking place on the 26th. This is when wild-card Uranus moves out of Taurus and your career sector, where it’s been since 2018. This could coincide with the end of a job or contract. Or perhaps, a major shift in your priorities.
Uranus rules technology and all things modern and it’s the freelance planet, so consider whether a move towards more security in your life might benefit you. Perhaps, your finances are shifting and changing and you’re not sure where the next pay-cheque is coming from.
These are the key areas – work and money – where endings and beginnings have been foreground for you over the last year. Uranus has already been in Gemini from July 7 to November 8, 2025
