As it grows across the North and Midlands, Opus Restructuring & Insolvency is spreading into Sheffield. The new office will be headed up by Luke Brough and Louise Williams.

Tot hat end, Opus Restructuring & Insolvency has announced its launch into Sheffield – a major expansion into the North of England, which also beefs up its East Midlands presence. After significant growth in Nottingham, increasing demand for restructuring and insolvency expertise has seen a new Sheffield locale become a “natural next step”, according to the firm, which cited “a clear need for on-the-ground support” for the decision, in its release.
Looking ahead, Luke Brough, a director currently based in Nottingham, will lead the Sheffield office alongside Executive Partner Louise Williams. The pair will co-lead both the Sheffield and Nottingham bases, strengthening Opus’ footprint across the two regions and enhancing support for local businesses, lenders, accountants and legal advisers.
Williams noted, “Our Nottingham team has grown rapidly, and that momentum has created the opportunity to expand into Sheffield in a meaningful way. This isn’t a token presence; it’s a considered investment in a region where we already have deep connections and where we see continued demand for specialist restructuring advice.”
Brough will also bring longstanding relationships across the South Yorkshire professional community, including key contacts in the legal and accountancy sectors.
He added, “Sheffield has always been an important market for us. We’ve built strong relationships here over several years, and the time is right to establish a permanent base. Being on the ground allows us to provide more immediate, tailored support to businesses and professional advisers, combining national expertise with genuine local insight.”
