Delphinium Narrative Farming Sim Revealed at GDC With First Playable Demo – MonsterVine

Publisher Serenity Forge and developer Cinnadev have officially revealed Delphinium, a cozy narrative-driven farming simulator set to launch in 2027 for PC and Xbox consoles. The announcement was made during Game Developers Conference 2026, where the game is playable for the first time behind closed doors at the GDC Festival of Gaming in San Francisco.

The game will also support Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing players to access their progress across Xbox consoles and PC.

A Bittersweet Story About Returning Home

Delphinium tells the story of Haiyan, who returns to her home village after years away. She originally left to follow her older brother on a mission to rebuild their war-torn homeland, but everything changed after his execution ended the movement they believed in.

Now grief-stricken and unsure of her future, Haiyan must rebuild her life while helping restore a quiet village inhabited by fellow outcasts. The story unfolds through branching narrative paths where player decisions determine Haiyan’s future and ultimately lead to multiple endings.

Players may choose to remain in the village to help rebuild the community or pursue independence and forge a new path beyond its borders.

Farming, Relationships, and Daily Life

While Delphinium centers on narrative choices, it also features familiar life-simulation activities. Players can spend their days cultivating crops, fishing, preparing meals, and completing daily quests around the village.

Interactions with the town’s residents are central to the experience. Conversations gradually reveal their histories and struggles, unlocking new dialogue options, conflicts, and story developments that influence the overall narrative.

The game’s world operates on a dynamic day-and-night cycle, with emotional story events and character interactions unfolding over time as relationships deepen.

First Demo Available at GDC

Selected members of the press and industry attendees can try Delphinium at the Game Developers Conference 2026, as part of the ID@Xbox Press Event at the GDC Festival of Gaming.

The demo offers an early look at the game’s opening chapter, allowing players to explore its cozy world and experience its blend of storytelling and farming mechanics.

Delphinium is currently scheduled to launch in 2027 on PC and Xbox consoles.
