HoYoverse has announced that Version 4.1 of Honkai: Star Rail, titled “Unraveled for Daybreak,” will launch on March 25, continuing the unfolding storyline on Planarcadia while introducing new activities, exploration zones, and a playable character.
The update places the Astral Express Crew at the center of a major celebration, Star Rail FEST, inspired by their legendary interstellar journeys. While the festivities promise nostalgia and excitement, conspiracies simmer beneath the surface as the mysterious Phantasmoon Games continue to escalate toward conflict.
A Festival With Secrets Beneath the Surface
Star Rail FEST serves as a massive in-game celebration featuring several themed areas inspired by past adventures across the universe. Players will be able to explore festival zones based on Belobog, the Xianzhou Luofu, and Penacony, each recreating memorable moments from previous story arcs.
The festival features attractions such as massive balloon displays featuring iconic characters and enemies, battle recreations, and interactive activities celebrating the Astral Express’s adventures. Meanwhile, the headquarters of Pearluxe Corp, known as Pearluxe Tower, becomes a new explorable location filled with exhibits, activities, and mechanical-themed attractions tied to the event.
While the festival celebrates the crew’s accomplishments, the ongoing War of the Supplicants, tied to the Phantasmoon Games, threatens to erupt into chaos, pushing the story toward darker revelations.
Ashveil Joins the Playable Roster
Version 4.1 also introduces Ashveil, a mysterious detective who becomes a 5-star Lightning character following the Path of The Hunt. Known for his relaxed demeanor, Ashveil assumes a more serious role as he investigates a murder case linked to the Phantasmoon Games in the Dovebrook District.
In combat, Ashveil focuses on hunting a specific enemy marked as “Bait.” His abilities increase allies’ CRIT damage while weakening enemies, enabling the team to focus their attacks on a single target. When allies strike the marked enemy, Ashveil launches follow-up attacks and builds a resource called Gluttony, which further strengthens his offensive capabilities and allows him to continue attacking new enemies after a kill.
New Activities and Gameplay Systems
The update also introduces Wispae War Saga, a new activity where players command wispae soldiers in strategic battles at Graphia Academy. Players will recruit and upgrade these units while using spell cards and special abilities to defeat powerful opponents and unlock new companions.
Additional systems and rewards are also arriving with the update. The Divergent Universe mode will enter a new Arcadian Chronicles phase, giving players more freedom to choose exploration routes using Waypoint Pass cards while upgrading a new system called Mask of Elation.
Players can also earn 10 free Warp pulls simply by logging in after the update launches. Meanwhile, returning events such as Planar Fissure and Garden of Plenty will offer double rewards, helping players gather upgrade materials and Planar Ornaments more efficiently.
Version 4.1 of Honkai: Star Rail launches on March 25, continuing the Planarcadia storyline while bringing new characters, events, and festival-themed content to the game.
