After completing much of the main storyline in the Bleak Beach Biome of Pokopia, players will have the chance to take on another of Torchic’s requests. This time, the Fire-type starter is looking for a shower to be installed. However, there is a catch: It only wants hot water. To complete Torchic’s request, players will need to obtain Hot Spring Water, which can be a challenge when surrounded by cool ocean beaches.
This later-game request in Pokopia requires players to have learned how to suck up water. This skill is taught by Paldaen Wooper in the Bleak Beach main storyline. Once players gain the ability to move water from one location to the next, terraforming is truly unlocked. However, the first real test of this ability comes from Torchic’s hot shower request.
Below is everything to know to build the hot shower for Torchic in Pokopia, and how to obtain moveable Hot Spring Water.
How to Get White Paint in Pokopia
White Paint is one of the rare colors that can be get from crushing berries in Pokopia, if the correct berries are found and used.
How to Get Hot Spring Water in Pokopia
The easiest way to get portable Hot Spring Water in Pokopia is by obtaining a Roserade Tea from a vending machine. However, there is a catch to this. Vending Machines must first be powered by electricity. Once they are up and running, they will only drop one drink a day.
The best Vending Machines to check each day are the one on Bleak Beach by Smearguru and then the double set in the hidden area in the Withered Wasteland beyond the wall directly behind the Pokémon Center. To access this area, follow the pathway that leads directly up to the cliff wall and dig through. In this area, power can be restored to the double Vending Machines by installing power poles from the Windmill to the machines.
Once you have obtained the Roserade Tea, drink it to fill Ditto with hot water. Now, it’s time to build the shower.
How to Build a Hot-Spring Water Shower in Pokopia
To build the Hot-Spring Shower that Torchic has requested, use the abandoned beach shower stalls down on the corner of the map, across from the Sparkling Skylands entrance.
After selecting this location, build a water holding to place the hot water in. This will give the shower somewhere to draw from. A Shower can be crafted at the workstation using the Shower Blueprint obtained from a previous quest. The Shower will require two Iron Ore.
To build the Hot-Spring Shower Habitat, players will need the following furniture:
- 2 Hot Spring Water blocks
- 1 Seat of any kind
- 1 Shower
You will also need two Sea Grass Blocks to place things on. As shown in the picture above, set the two Sea Grass blocks against the back of the shower building. Place the Shower on the well above the first block, and the Seat on the block beside it. Be sure that there are at least two blocks of Hot Spring Water in front of the shower.
After the build is complete, speak with Torchic and then bring them over to see the finished project. They will be delighted, but they don’t plan on moving in. Instead, Pokopia players will likely find a Psyduck swimming in the tub in just a few short minutes.
