Cozy gamers are deep in their newest adventure following the release of Pokopia on March 5. However, not everything has been smooth sailing. Some players have encountered game-breaking glitches that were addressed in the 1.0.2 patch released on March 17, 2026.
The 1.0.2 patch is the first major update for Pokopia and specifically focuses on fixing glitches and bugs found post-launch. The patch notes for the update also offer players a look at some improvements the team is actively working on, indicating that another update is on the way.
Currently, there are a few game-breaking glitches in Rocky Ridges and Bleak Beach that have been causing trouble. Both of these glitches have been addressed, as well as a few hiccups in Bleak Beach and Withered Wasteland that make certain requests for storylines difficult to complete.

As explained in the patch notes shared on the official Pokopia website for Japan, the patch covers some of the most pressing issues that are impacting players. Below are each of the updates or changes as listed in the patch notes.
Known Issue Updates
- The issue with the “Dry Wasteland Town” where Squirtle gets stuck in a tree and cannot be spoken to during “Let’s Build a Home for Them!” has been addressed.
- The issue with the “Gloomy Seaside Town” quest “Find the Pokémon Center!”, where breaking the cracked bridge blocks makes it hard for Tangrowth to get across, has been modified.
- The issue with the “Gloomy Seaside Town” quest “Find the Pokémon Center!”, where the bridge repair request never becomes available, has been addressed.
- The issue with the “Rugged Mountain Town” quest “Let’s Clean Up the Roads!”, where making the clean paths can become difficult and unclear, has been modified.
- The issue with the “Rugged Mountain Town” quest, where it becomes impossible to find Rotom, has been addressed.
- Spinarak’s type has been fixed from “Bug” to “Bug/Poison” in the Pokédex.
Improvements
- Issue with the “Dry Wasteland” quest “Break the Rocks with Rock Smash!”, where placing blocks in or around the breakable blocks by Hitmonchan can hang up the quest, has been modified.
- Issue with the “Gloomy Seaside Town” quest “Bring the Professor with You!”, where placing blocks around or near Mosslax creates pathing issues, has been modified.
One of the most interesting notes included in Pokopia’s 1.0.2 patch is the information about the Johto region, Pokémon Spinarak. Many players hadn’t noticed that the Bug/Poison-type spider had been typed incorrectly in the Pokédex. Those who haven’t updated their games can still see the incorrect info, though they will need to update the game to keep playing on the newest version.
With the above hiccups and glitches repaired, players should have a much smoother experience while exploring the vast world in Pokopia.
