New Delhi: BPL Medical Technologies announced the acquisition of Yozma BMtech Co., Ltd., a South Korea-based firm specialising in bone mineral density (BMD) diagnostic solutions, in a move aimed at strengthening its imaging and preventive diagnostics portfolio.
Following the acquisition, the company has launched BMtech’s advanced bone mineral density measuring systems in India and Dubai to expand access to early screening and monitoring solutions for osteoporosis and other bone-related conditions.
The newly introduced systems feature high-speed scanning with high-resolution imaging and low-radiation exposure to enhance patient safety. They also incorporate fan-beam technology with multi-channel detectors designed to measure bone density accurately across multiple anatomical sites. Certain models support whole-body bone densitometry and body composition analysis, enabling broader preventive health assessments.
The machines are also designed with a compact footprint to enable installation in space-constrained hospitals and diagnostic centres, improving accessibility to bone health screening.
According to the company, the launch addresses the rising demand for preventive diagnostics driven by ageing populations, growing prevalence of osteoporosis and increasing lifestyle-related risk factors. The integration of BMtech’s technology is expected to strengthen BPL MedTech’s capabilities in imaging and diagnostics, particularly in the women’s health segment where bone density assessment is critical for managing post-menopausal health risks.

The acquisition is expected to accelerate innovation in imaging and diagnostics while strengthening the company’s presence in international markets by combining BMtech’s specialised technology with BPL’s manufacturing, distribution and clinical expertise.
