Arc System Works America has announced the upcoming digital release of Goritaire, a single-player strategy card game about multiplying gorillas while carefully managing limited resources. The digital version is scheduled to launch on March 19, 2026, across multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam, iOS, and Android devices.
Players can already prepare for the release, as the game’s store pages have gone live. Those interested can wishlist the game on Steam and PlayStation platforms or pre-register on Android ahead of launch.

Grow Your Gorilla Troop While Managing Bananas
Goritaire is built around a simple but strategic concept. Players must expand their troop of gorillas while carefully managing their supply of bananas, the essential resource needed to sustain the troop’s growth. Each decision affects the stability of the habitat, and expanding too quickly without enough bananas could lead to disaster.
The ultimate objective is to successfully line up seven or more gorillas, a goal that requires careful planning and resource management throughout each play session. The solitaire-style gameplay focuses on thoughtful choices and long-term strategy rather than fast-paced action.

From the Creator of Shephy
The game is the official digital adaptation of the tabletop card game created by Pawn, the designer and illustrator behind the popular sheep-multiplying card game Shephy. Much like Shephy, Goritaire offers a deceptively simple premise that gradually reveals deeper layers of strategy as players attempt to grow their troop under increasingly challenging conditions.
Arc System Works aims to make the experience easily accessible through this digital version, allowing players to enjoy the puzzle-like card game wherever they play.

Special Collaboration with Go! Go! Curry!
The digital release will also feature a special collaboration with the Japanese restaurant chain Go! Go! Curry!. Originating in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, the chain is well known for its signature Kanazawa Curry, served across Japan and internationally.
As part of the crossover, the brand’s mascot Goriko will appear in Goritaire as a special card that players can encounter in the game, adding a playful crossover element to the strategy experience.
Launch Details
When Goritaire launches on March 19, the game will be priced at $4.99 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam. The mobile versions on iOS and Android will instead adopt a free-to-play model with optional in-app purchases, allowing players to try the game without an upfront cost.
