New Moons always present an unknown factor because they are Dark Moons – you’re not privy to the outcome. This is especially true with a Pisces New Moon – events start with a dream, vision or intuitive pull. Nothing is defined. Is it even real?
The sextile to Uranus in Earth-sign Taurus says “Yes” but this chapter will proceed in an unpredictable way. Nothing jarring, but certainly not traditional.
This energy has a sprinkle of magic – a sense that the impossible could unfold. You won’t have much control over what happens but Neptune (ruler of Pisces) at 1 deg Aries says it will be fuelled by fresh passion, ambition and courage. But again, everything is brand new (Aries is the first sign) and unrefined. This is the time to jump in with excitement, but don’t get hung up on results.
Venus (ruler of Taurus) square expansive Jupiter (in Moon-ruled Cancer) adds to the excitement with big expectations in the realm of relationships, money, appearance or general happiness. Venus in Aries wants it NOW. Jupiter exaggerates this so it can feel almost euphoric but also unsatisfying – the hard square increases hopes/cravings beyond the point of what’s safe or sensible. The new opportunity is hot but ethically unsound. Or, you’re caught up in the rush and quickly become bored when reality sets in.
This can also be a prompt to overindulge in something that temporarily makes you happy.
Combined with Pisces’ limitlessness, you have a recipe for too much, too soon. This New Moon actually demands patience – events will proceed as they’re meant to, in their own time. Venus/Jupiter implies something good but you must proceed with a bit of moderation – when confronted with the urge to push for more, take a step back. Allow the magic to work – don’t force it.
