The SUV has a 1.5 TGDI Hyperion petrol engine that can run up to 13.5 km per liter. It also has a 1.5 Cryojet engine that can run up to 18.8 km per liter. Both of these mileage figures were certified on December 11 and November 21, 2025.
After the launch, the SUV underwent a test drive for 12 hours at the NATRAX facility in Indore. During this period, the SUV achieved a mileage of 29.9 kilometers per liter on a liter of petrol, a feat that was also recorded in the Limca Book of Records. It covered approximately 800 kilometers in 12 hours.
The Tata Sierra also offers three 1.5-liter engine options. The SUV is powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine that produces 160 PS of power and 255 Nm of torque. The second option is a 1.5-liter Revotron engine that produces 106 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque. The third engine option is a 1.5-liter diesel engine that produces 118 PS of power and 280 Nm of torque. The SUV is offered with both manual and automatic transmission options.
