SHILLONG, APR 3: The election committee of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) has denotified the Central Executive Council (CEC) 2023-2026 and appointed a caretaker body, with the president and general secretary of the outgoing CEC taking charge.
“The filing of nomination for the elections to the 16th Central Executive Council for 2026-2029 will begin from April 4,” said Samuel B Jyrwa, Secretary of the election committee.
The election will be held for ten posts, including president, vice president, and general secretary.

Key dates for the election are: nomination filing from April 4 to April 13, withdrawal of nomination on April 14, and scrutiny on April 15.
The election is scheduled to be completed on May 9.
All units and circles have been directed to put on hold electing new office bearers or forming new units until the election process is over.
