Call of the Elder Gods will launch on May 12, 2026, for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, publisher Kwalee and developer Out of the Blue announced. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one.
The first-person narrative puzzle-adventure is a sequel to Call of the Sea, following Professor Harry Everhart and Evangeline Drayton as they travel around the world in search of missing loved ones while confronting ancient horrors tied to a larger mystery.
A new Lovecraftian puzzle adventure
Set after the events of Call of the Sea, Call of the Elder Gods sends players from New England to the Australian desert, the Arctic, and the lost city of Pnakotus. The game focuses on a story of grief, family, and sanity, with Harry and Evangeline investigating strange visions, impossible dreams, and a long-buried artifact.
According to the announcement, no prior knowledge of Call of the Sea is required, though returning players will find deeper connections and recurring story elements throughout the sequel.

Puzzle-solving across time and space
Call of the Elder Gods is built around logic, observation, and environmental puzzle-solving. Players will switch between Harry and Evangeline to work through multi-part puzzles spread across different locations and time periods.
The game also includes adjustable difficulty options, with toggleable hints, icons, and journal entries available for players who want more guidance.

Returning cast and composer
The sequel features a fully voiced story, with Yuri Lowenthal and Cissy Jones leading the cast. Eduardo De La Iglesia, who composed music for Call of the Sea, also returns for the soundtrack.
