Elder Scrolls Online previews its PvP rewards track, Season One content features, and Tamriel Tomes updates

Elder Scrolls Online is preparing to get Update 50 into players’ hot little hands on June 8th, but it’s also already plotting things for Season One. That’s what’s been showcased during the MMORPG’s most recent livestream, which calls attention to new features and quality-of-life updates due soon.

We’ll start with Update 50’s new PvP-specific progression track known as veterancy that’s intended to grant PvPers in the MMO more goodies. This free and account-wide progress system is leveled up by earning alliance points and XP by doing most major PvP activities like fighting in Cyrodiil and in battlegrounds.

Speaking of goodies including weapon and armor styles, ability styles, temporary and permanent titles, and vengeance perks, though those stop at rank 33 in order to be more front-loaded. The devs are also highlighting other previously discussed quality-of-life updates due in Update 50, just in case anyone forgot.

As for Season One content, the devs offered a direct look at stuff that was first previewed in March, including a story line for the Thieves Guild and a new upgradeable mythic talisman for completing the original Thieves Guild quest, a rework of the daily missions system that’s now tied to specific NPCs called favors, and a standalone set of six Sheogorath quests. There were some new previews as well, like multi-stage dynamic world events and a clue-based scavenger hunt feature known as rumors. Several of these features will be up for testing on the game’s PTS on Monday, April 13th.

In other ESO news, the devs are sharing some plans for the Tamriel Tomes system. This includes confirmation that unused points will roll over into the next tome at a maximum of 2,000 while unused points over that limit will be automatically spent, several fixes for various challenge bugs, and new features coming in Update 50 like the ability to reroll weekly challenges for gold, repeatable weekly challenges for those who have gotten to the tome’s bonus pages, and UI updates.
