It looks like the Boston Bruins will be missing a key forward for the second game in a row.
Head coach Marco Sturm told reporters Thursday that Viktor Arvidsson likely will miss Friday’s Game 6 in Boston after suffering an upper-body injury in Game 4.
“I don’t think so,” Sturm said when asked if Arvidsson will be playing, per Conor Ryan of the Boston Globe. “Maybe there’s a miracle overnight, but we’re planning not.”
The Bruins trail the series 3-2 after staving off elimination with a 2-1 overtime win in Buffalo in Game 5.
Arvidsson suffered an upper-body injury in Sunday’s Game 4 loss and missed practice on Monday.
The 33-year-old Arvidsson had a bounce-back season, scoring 25 goals and 54 points in 69 games. He has two goals against the Sabres in the series.
Puck drop for Game 6 is at 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT on Sportsnet 360 and Sportsnet+.
