Moon on the North Node is a brief prompt that turns your attention to the future. Watch for a pull towards a spiritual, creative, compassionate or magical matter. Something that transcends the flaws and worries of the past.
The Moon is also an indicator of timing so this can point to a karmically significant event that unfolds at the perfect time, in the perfect way. There can be escape, healing, surrender.
BML is the Moon’s apogee – the point in its orbit that is furthest from the Earth. She is the perennial outsider, in contrast to the Moon which represents the comfortable, familiar side of female energy (mother, security). When the two aspect each other, there’s a special resonance between comfort and discomfort.
The square is tension between the need to accept vs jarring expressions of women’s taboo energy. You’re called on to release impossible standards of perfection. But you’re challenged by a foreign concept of how a woman expresses her power – wildly and exuberantly with a rough edge. Perhaps sensitive feelings are overwhelmed by her openly sexual behaviour and defiance of customs. She makes you uncomfortable.
Or, the situation is flipped and you’re channeling BML’s energy, making everyone else uncomfortable. You feel like you don’t belong.
There is no “fix” for this and there doesn’t need to be. Black Moon Lilith never conforms and this square is meant to get you questioning your beliefs and what you’re prepared to accept on your journey towards the future. Sometimes it’s better to let the discomfort be, rather than trying to fix it.
