Rajasthan Sizzles at 47°C in Nautapa Season: Sriganganagar Records State’s Hottest Day

The intensity of heat and heat waves is rising in the Nautapa season in Rajasthan. On Tuesday, the temperature rose up to 47 degrees Celsius in Sriganganagar, which became the hottest place in the state. Many areas including Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Phalodi, and Kota experienced extremely hot weather throughout the day.

As per the information provided by the Meteorological Department, the extreme heat will continue in western and northern Rajasthan for the next 24 hours. There will be an orange alert of heat wave for five districts till May 27. The weather might get altered in different areas of the state from May 28 till May 30. A yellow alert has been issued for thunderstorms, strong winds, and light to moderate rain during this period.

On Tuesday, Sikar district experienced a change in weather in the afternoon. Cloudy skies accompanied by strong winds and light rain were recorded in some areas. The Meteorological Department predicts that temperatures may drop in northeastern Rajasthan districts due to the impact of a western disturbance.

Heat waves during the day disrupted normal life in Bikaner, Phalodi, and Jaisalmer. Markets and streets were deserted in many cities during the afternoon. Night temperatures are also showing no significant relief, and hot nights persist in many districts.
