Street Fighter 6 is, at its heart, a competitive multiplayer game. But I think it’s worth appreciating just how much value World Tour mode has added for single player fans.
With each new DLC drop, Capcom has added new story and quests to the campaign, allowing you to learn the moves of its Masters and interact with them for their Outfit 2.
But with Ingrid’s arrival earlier today, the publisher appears to have confirmed that this will be the last update to the single player mode.
Writing on X (or Twitter), a series spokesperson said: “Please note that Ingrid will be the final character to receive additional World Tour story content upon release. Previously added World Tour content will remain playable.”
So while it doesn’t necessarily rule out new World Tour quests entirely, this does imply that Season 4’s characters won’t be incorporated into the mode at all. That’s a real shame, as I always enjoyed completing these quests with each new piece of DLC.
And I’m not the only one disappointed.

“Like I know I’m one of the few who engaged with it but that’s a huge bummer what the hell man? If you are cutting World Tour, there better be more characters per season if you are freeing up resources.”
To be fair, I think Capcom did go above and beyond with World Tour, so I can’t criticise it too heavily for moving on. But I do tend to agree that I’d like to see some kind of substitute for this content in the next season.
I’m not going to complain too much until the publisher confirms what it’s got in store, which I’m fully expecting to be announced next week, either during State of Play or at Summer Game Fest.
