MHA has promoted Jonathan Dowding to partner in its international tax team. According to Tax Partner Chris Danes, the promotion will support the “continued growth of our London office, as well as MHA as a whole, in the coming years.”
Danes added, “During his time with MHA, Jonathan has gained a strong reputation for advising some of our largest clients on their most complex cross-border tax issues. His approach, and the relationships he has built with our Baker Tilly International colleagues, are a brilliant example of how MHA supports clients – through long-term relationships built on trust and international expertise that helps them grow.”
Since launching in 1869, MHA has become an international professional services provider of audit and assurance, tax, accountancy and advisory services, based in the UK with an international presence. Following the acquisition of Baker Tilly South-East Europe last year, the firm now employs nearly 2,200 people and has 153 partners across its network of 30 offices in the UK, Ireland, South-East Europe and the Cayman Islands.
Jonathan Dowding is based at MHA’s London office and joined the firm in 2021 from EY as Senior Tax Manager, before being made International Tax Director in 2023. His role involves advising large corporates on international tax issues, with a particular focus on supporting listed and private equity-backed organisations with cross-border restructuring, international expansion and complex UK tax matters.
Dowding also plays a key role within the firm’s global tax solutions team, working with Baker Tilly International colleagues to support multinational clients across more than 140 jurisdictions.
