One of the most surprising game reveals to come from today’s Summer Games Fest Showcase was Gundam Rogue Orbit, which was shown off through a snazzy trailer from Bandai Namco.
Throughout the SGF trailer, you can see glimpses of the fast-paced gameplay as well as the massive environments and intense moments that the game is set to feature. This new title is set to introduce a “brand new timeline in the Gundam saga,” according to the press release, making it a whole new Gundam story.

“In Gundam Rogue Orbit, players will suit up as ace pilot RE-X, the protagonist in this new chapter for Gundam,” reads the upcoming game’s official synopsis. “Step into the cockpit of Gundam Helix, RE-X’s high-mobility suit, so he along with a rag-tag crew of unsung soldiers, can fight to be humanity’s last hope for survival against this unknown enemy.”
When is Gundam Rogue Orbit‘s release date?
Though no specific release date was set for Gundam Rogue Orbit, a release window of 2027 was provided. Additionally, it was revealed that the game will drop on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
