Ruth Bailey has been appointed as deputy chief operating officer for WSP’s UK & Ireland business. She brings more than two decades of international engineering and operational leadership experience to the role.

WSP is a professional services firm with over 11,700 experts in the UK and Ireland and approximately 83,000 professionals operating in over 50 countries. The firm specialises in engineering, advisory and science services, working with clients in the transportation, infrastructure, environment, building, energy, water, resources and industrial sectors.
Bailey joins WSP from AtkinsRéalis, having served on international projects with the firm, before transitioning into large-scale business management and operational leadership. In her new role, she will focus on operational excellence across WSP’s UK and Ireland business, strengthening project execution and business operations to ensure teams are supported, empowered and equipped to succeed. She will also work with the leadership team to translate business priorities into high-performance operations across the region.
