Taiwanese PC maker Asus plans to start production of gaming laptops in India during the ongoing financial year, a senior company official said.
Paramjeet Singh Mehta, head of product and marketing for the consumer business at Asus India, said the company plans to meet 25-30 per cent of demand in the country through local production.

“As per our understanding, we are the first brand that will start manufacturing gaming laptops in India. We plan to localise 25-30 per cent of our total requirement in India,” Singh said.
The company has partnered with an electronics manufacturing services company in Chennai for the production, he said.
