Coforge highlighted the deal as a successful contrarian bet and a strategic blueprint for future acquisitions, including its recent $2.35 billion purchase of US-based Encora.
Coforge, a Noida-based AI-based engineering services company, has closed the acquisition of the Hyderabad-based Cigniti Technologies. The closure was announced following shareholder approval and final clearance from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), completing all the regulatory requirements.
“Coforge acquired Cigniti to gain access to its tenured relationships, expand its healthcare business, and grow its presence in the Midwest and Western regions of the US. The results are now reflected in the data,” a Coforge statement said here on Thursday.
Cigniti is an independent software testing, Quality Engineering (QE), and Digital Assurance services company.
The company said the acquisition is a textbook example of a firm making a contrarian bet that has worked out and yielded exceptional results. The acquisition process began about two years ago.
“The top two acquired clients, which had a cumulative revenue of $25 million per annum, are now running at $75 million per annum, is reflective of both the value creation and the execution intensity that helped drive that value creation,” it said.

In late 2025, the company also acquired Encora, a US-based company, for about $2.35 billion.
