Chiran Phanindra, Founder-Chief Executive Officer of Cosmoserve Space, presented the startup’s plan to build space vehicles, which can handle space debris, to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Thursday.
Cosmoserve Space is among the six startups that were shortlisted to pitch to the two leaders. These six startups were part of the 30 deeptech startups.
“At Cosmoserve, we are building solutions to address the growing challenge of space debris – an issue that, much like space itself, knows no boundaries. Our mission is to develop technologies in India for a global impact,” Chiran explained to the the two leaders.
“Prime Minister Modi highlighted this vision, stating that India is building rockets to send satellites into space, and also systems to remove defunct satellites from orbit, enabling a circular space economy,” Chiran told businessline from Paris.
He said that the French President expressed interest to collaborate with the “new generation of startups like yours that are building remarkable technologies.”
