Pi Green, EcoGuard partner to digitise carbon capture and build dMRV systems

The move comes as India’s carbon market gains momentum, supported by a ₹20,000 crore allocation for carbon capture and storage and a newly operational compliance framework.

Pi Green Innovations Pvt Ltd has partnered with EcoGuard Global AG to digitise carbon capture methodology and deploy a digital Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (dMRV) system for clients in India and global markets.

The move comes as India’s carbon market gains momentum, supported by a ₹20,000 crore allocation for carbon capture and storage and a newly operational compliance framework, positioning the country as a key hub for carbon abatement and trading.

The partnership combines Pi Green’s patented carbon capture and utilisation technology with EcoGuard’s digital carbon infrastructure. Pi Green’s solutions include its Carbon Cutter device for particulate capture and the Net Zero Machine, which converts emissions into carbon-negative construction materials. EcoGuard’s platform, built on distributed ledger technology, enables end-to-end MRV, traceability, and carbon credit issuance.

Under the agreement, EcoGuard will digitise Pi Green’s methodology in line with global standards, deploy a dMRV platform for automated data capture and verification, and enable transparent carbon transactions.

The initiative is expected to strengthen readiness for third-party validation while helping clients transition to technology-driven, market-ready carbon project frameworks.
