Outlook: Long term Positive

•\u0009Total advances growing 6% QoQ and 19% YoY. Growth was primarily driven by the wholesale segment, which expanded 38% YoY, followed by SME advances at 24% YoY, while retail advances growth of 8% YoY. Despite this, retail disbursements remained robust, increasing 24% YoY and 19% QoQ, supported by strong traction across home loans (28% YoY), vehicle loans (25% YoY), retail agriculture (34% YoY), and personal loans (22% YoY). The overall loan mix currently stands at 55% retail, 33% corporate, and 12% commercial banking.

•\u0009The bank continues to focus on achieving a balanced portfolio mix of ~70% retail and SME and ~30% wholesale over the medium term.

•\u0009NIM stood at 3.62%. The bank reiterated its through-cycle NIM guidance of 3.80% and expects to achieve this within 15–18 months following the transmission of the last rate cut.

•\u0009Fee income grew 9% YoY, supported by both retail and wholesale segments.

•\u0009In a precautionary move, the bank created a one-time contingent provision of Rs. 2,001 crore to safeguard against potential macroeconomic risks amid global uncertainties.

•\u0009Axis Bank continues to invest in growth and operational efficiency, with technology spending accounting for ~10% of operating expenses. The bank added around 400 branches during FY26.

•\u0009On the financial reporting front, the bank had previously recognized Rs. 8,714 crore of intangible assets related to the acquisition of Citibank’s India Consumer Finance business, which have now been fully amortized. Additionally, following tax assessment proceedings, depreciation on these intangibles was allowed in Q4FY26, leading to a reduction in tax expense of Rs.2,193 crore for FY26.

•\u0009The bank has also achieved global ISO 42001 certification for its artificial intelligence management systems, highlighting its focus on technology and governance.
