Moon/Saturn is focused and restrained. The needs for play and attention are moderated by certain rules but there’s also increased determination to meet those needs. You might experience a strong commitment to self-expression or defining your special purpose.
But then we move on to the Mars square and things get edgy. Calmness shifts to anger, impatience or a sudden urge to take risks. If your needs are not met, you might be pushing for external recognition. Ego can surge up with uncomfortable displays and sometimes hard aspects from Mars to Leo planets can trigger violence as a distorted (and immature) way of impressing others.
The Moon is not rational and there’s always a childlike energy with Leo – Saturn offered maturity but Mars is rampaging will and raw desire, even in grounded Taurus. It’s the square that amps this up – the tension takes Mars in Taurus’ absolute assurance and gives it an edge.
The overall theme is grit- commitment to yourself and then fixed initiative to make it happen. The caution is to not get sidetracked by impatience and don’t allow yourself to be triggered if you’re feeling ignored or unappreciated. The square presents a tremendous amount of energy which can be channelled constructively. For example, physical activity (competition) or passionate self-expression that’s driven by enthusiasm.
