Venus/Saturn is limits around what you want. You might feel unloved, rejected. There’s a strong parental theme as external authority/rules demand you look after yourself. That message could be implicit or explicit, but the result is the same: you’re on your own.
And this is by design – at this moment you are required to be your own parent. It’s up to you to deal with the “No” while supplying love and comfort for yourself.
Nobody likes a Venus/Saturn square but this crisis can be a strengthening turning point where you discover that you’re not helpless. You are worthy and lovable. Any extra obligations on your plate are handled with maturity and if you need to set boundaries (you can only look after so much before there’s a deficit in self-care) you set those boundaries.
This is also an aspect of powerful commitment, but it feels onerous. You’re obligated to look after someone. You must pull yourself up, even though you’d rather curl up and hide. Your inner child emerges and demands to be soothed – who’s going to do that? You are – you’re in charge, you’re strong enough. You’re enough.
Ceres into Gemini echoes the above in some ways as nurturing/mothering becomes detached. Care is focused on freedom of choice, the exchange of information and new ideas. The mind is nurtured.
This is not a cuddly expression of Ceres’ energies – it encourages the growth of conversation rather than hugs. Care is expressed through curiosity. A mother figure could have two sides, creating a sense of unpredictability rather than security.
