Global innovation and transformation consultancy PA Consulting has appointed Jessica Smith as a partner in its defence and security team. She will focus on helping clients in the sector with strategic workforce planning and operational performance.

PA Consulting boasts a roster of more than 4,000 strategists, innovators, designers, consultants, digital experts, scientists, engineers, and technologists. Its defence and security team supports clients as they respond to an evolving defence and security ecosystem, as threats from the climate emergency to the role of the space domain demand fresh approaches and solutions.
Smith brings more than a decade of experience in working with defence and public sector organisations on their talent strategies. She joins PA from strategy consultancy Oliver Wyman, where for the past three years she worked on a range of issues in support of the economic resilience of Ukraine. She started her career as a materials engineer and has a PhD in biomaterials from the University of Oxford.
According to a release from PA, Smith will now provide invaluable expertise in strengthening its clients’ defence workforces – “helping them attract, develop and retain the talent they need to respond to evolving threats with confidence.”
