
Johnston Carmichael, a Scottish accountancy and business advisory firm, has strengthened its leadership team with seven senior appo across its practices and offices.
The cohort of senior appo includes one new partner and six new directors spanning the firm’s Technology, Life Sciences, Rural, Legal, and Business Advisory practices. All seven are based in Scotland.
Keith Hamilton has been promoted to Partner in recognition of his leadership as Chief Legal Officer and Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance. He joined the firm in January 2023 and has become a trusted adviser to Johnston Carmichael’s Board and senior leadership team.
Natalie Robertson has been with the consulting firm for 19 years, having joined as a graduate. She leads Johnston the Family Office team, advising families on the protection, management and transition of wealth across generations, with a particular focus on personal and family matters. She also manages a small portfolio of owner managed business clients, providing advice on their business interests.
Suzanne Harrold joined the firm in 2009 as a graduate and now supports a portfolio of clients with a focus on innovation and the food and drink sector. She leads the Digital Advisory and Outsourced Finance practices regionally, and plays an important role in the development of Johnston Carmichael’s talent.
Kim Lawrie has been with the firm for than 13 years, providing business advisory services to clients in the agriculture sector and the wider rural sector. A Chartered Accountant, Lawrie is based in Dundee.
Calum Purdie is Head of Technology & Life Sciences at Johnston Carmichael. He plays a leading role in developing and strengthening industry partnerships and will continue to grow the firm’s relationships across key UK tech hubs including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, and Newcastle.
Chris Dick has over 14 years of service at Johnston Carmichael. He is a member of the Business Advisory practice and has built a strong rural client base, focusing on mid-sized businesses in the Highlands, Moray and North-East regions.
Michael Larg also is a member of the Business Advisory practice, with a primary focus on major landed estates. A Chartered Accountant, he also works for clients in the wider rural sector.
