Leighton and The eaga Trust have announced a new partnership to supercharge their AWS offerings. Leighton will now work with The eaga Trust to maintain, modernise and improve the performance of its digital estate.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides on-demand cloud computing platforms and APIs to individuals, companies, and governments, on a metered pay-as-you-go basis. The platform enables clients to grow businesses through alignment with its sales, marketing, funding, capture, and proposal teams – supported by a thriving ecosystem of partners and favoured suppliers across the professional services sector.
One such long-term partner is Leighton. The software development business builds high performing teams and develops successful software applications for its customers, who include British Airways, Atom Bank, Hays Travel, EQUANS, IAG Loyalty and Greggs. Specialising in AWS solutions, this also sees the Leighton team hold over 70 AWS certifications and over 70 AWS accreditations.
Looking to tap into this expertise, the eaga Trust supports its members and their families by providing funds that allow them to access life-enhancing benefits for example health and wellbeing support, Holiday Homes, an Education Bursary Programme – including funding for degree courses for the children of members, Skill-Builder – funding for work-related training and development, along with services like Will Writing and Serious-Injury Insurance.
The long-term partnership will see Leighton take responsibility for the trust’s AWS infrastructure providing strategic guidance to ensure alignment with best practices, as well as capitalising on any cost and efficiency opportunities through architecture modernisation.
Richard Marr, CEO at the eaga Trust commented, “This was a really competitive process, what impressed us most about Leighton is the wealth of AWS expertise within their business and their AWS Practice and their genuine interest in our business and what we do. Having the Leighton team as a partner will allow us to further improve our digital infrastructure in line with their recommendations and maximise the potential of our AWS estate. It’s fantastic to have them on board and we’re looking forward to a long and fruitful partnership with them.”
The AWS Practice at Leighton will deliver in-hours support for applications, infrastructure, and websites, maintaining ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus compliance. The agreement also covers Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service operations, minor enhancements, proactive monitoring, and continuous improvement through quarterly reviews.
James Bunting, CEO at Leighton added, “I’m expecting this partnership to be a brilliant example of what can be achieved when two North East organisations collaborate with a shared focus on making a difference. We are looking forward to using our deep AWS expertise to help the eaga Trust run a modern, secure and cost-efficient platform that enables them to focus on the amazing work they do to support members and their families.”
