New Delhi: India’s services exports touched $421.3 billion in FY26, surpassing $418.3 billion estimated earlier, boosting total goods and services exports to a record $863.1 billion last fiscal year, an official said Wednesday.
Services exports climbed 8.7% from $387.55 billion in the previous fiscal. Overall exports rose 4.6% from $825.26 billion in FY25.
“This marks the highest level of overall exports so far, sustained by steady performance across sectors despite ongoing global challenges,” the official said. “Moreover, the highest-ever total exports were recorded in each quarter of 2025-26.”

The growth in services exports underscores expanding global demand for services such as IT, business solutions, and professional expertise, according to the official.
Merchandise exports grew 0.93% in FY26 to $441.78 billion from $437.7 billion in FY25.
“Despite global uncertainties and challenges in goods trade, India’s merchandise exports maintained its upward trajectory, contributing significantly to the total export basket,” the official said, adding each quarter of FY26 recorded peak export performance.
The robust export performance highlights a structural shift toward a more service-driven export economy while maintaining stability in goods trade, the official said.
