Dotemu and developer Alt Shift have announced that Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes will launch on May 11 for PC. The new tactical roguelite is being developed in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences and brings a new original story to the sci-fi franchise.
The announcement arrived alongside a new gameplay trailer showing the Cylons, the fleet management systems, and the game’s survival-focused combat.

A Tactical Roguelite Built Around Survival
In Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes, players guide what remains of humanity after the fall of the Twelve Colonies. The fleet is constantly hunted by the Cylons, forcing players to manage repairs, crew time, internal conflicts, exploration, resources, and survivors while staying ahead of destruction.
The game draws on the franchise’s survival theme, with combat built around holding out long enough to reach safety. Players deploy squadrons, intercept threats, defend the flagship, and balance offensive and defensive decisions while under pressure.

Every Run Brings New Choices
Each destination presents different risks and rewards, with players making choices based on the fleet’s most immediate needs. Runs will also unlock new squadrons, weapons, and upgrades, expanding tactical options in future attempts.
Alt Shift, the studio behind Crying Suns, is developing the game with detailed artwork and a focus on tactical narrative play.
