Pokopia‘s extensive building mechanics have inspired some of the most creative Pokémon players to reshape the dystopian Kanto region. While some of these builds have focused on luxurious buildings and themed towns, others have taken a more unique approach. This includes a recently revealed build depicting a true-to-size Wailord swallowing the ruins of the S. S. Anne.

When first entering Bleak Beach in Pokopia, the ruins of Vermillion City are shocking and heart-wrenching. Especially for fans of the original main series games. The crumbled shorelines are stark, and in the distance, the shell of the S.S. Anne can be seen wasting away where it was left at the city docks.

To help lighten the mood, one Pokopia player with a love of Wailord decided to add a special touch to the skeletal ship, turning a haunting visage into a picture of Water-type comedy.

How to Unlock the Sparkling Skylands in Pokopia

Sparkling Skylands is the final Biome in Pokopia, and it requires the completion of specific quests before it will unlock.

Pokopia Player Delights Fans With Super-Sized Wailord Build

In a social media post shared by Beta May, the Pokopia player blew up for a jaw-dropping reveal shown in several pictures and a series of in-progress shots shared in the comments of the original post. The images depict a build of Wailord, the largest Pokémon currently in existence without Gigantamax, consuming the S. S. Anne.

The Pokopia player crafted the Wailord structure from a sand base. They then build the exterior with colored blocks, using different textures and colors to perfectly capture Wailord coming up out of the water with an open mouth, ready to chomp down on the S. S. Anne’s deck.

Amazingly, the structure isn’t just for show. It was built as a functional building, and players can see the entrance inside the Wailord’s mouth.

Players in the comments were blown away, asking how long it took the original poster to create the massive Wailord. According to a response from the builder, it took between 15 and 20 hours, nearly half the time it takes to complete the game’s main storyline.

These massive build projects have encouraged players to stay in the game long after completing the main story, as the entire region can be reshaped or built to create similar mega structures.

For those who have finished Pokopia and unlocked Magnetic Rise, it might be time to pick a super-sized Pokémon and incorporate it into one of the many Biomes of the game. One of the best ways to spend time in Pokopia is by testing building skills, and as this Wailord proves, the sky is the only limit.
