If anything’s going to draw you towards gacha game Wuthering Waves, surely it’s this stunning Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collaboration, due out on 8th June as part of v3.4.
Inspired by Netflix’s anime spin-off, you’ll be able to pull for 5-Star crossover Resonators Lucy and Rebecca, who look they’ve stepped right out of the show.
One interesting wrinkle here is that they’ll demand their own gacha pull currency, which is a little bit sneaky because if you’ve been saving up Radiant Tides, they won’t work here.
You will, however, be able to convert your Astrite into the new currency to pull for the Night City visitors as usual.
There’ll also be various in-game events to help bolster your number of free pulls, and it’s worth remembering that everyone will get Rebecca for free.
I personally think their gameplay looks like a lot of fun, but I’m curious to see where they’ll fit into the title’s overall meta. Are these two going to be topping tier lists?
This latest update will also add Resonator Lucilla to the game’s roster, who has a really fun photography-themed combat kit.
And there are a ton of other events themed around Cyberpunk 2077, such as a Night City-inspired explorable environment and the return of the bike racing minigame from a previous version – this time with online multiplayer.
