President Donald Trump has warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he may withdraw US support for Israel and leave it on its own against Iran.
In an interview with Axios, Trump said he had warned Netanyahu that Israel might find itself fighting alone if it resumed the war against Iran.

“I said, ‘Bibi, you better be careful, or you will be on your own very soon,’” Trump told Axios.
Trump also complained that Israel had given his administration very short notice about the strikes. But he claimed that he still ensured that the Israeli strikes were limited.
“They were already on their way. But eventually I had [the Israeli strike] limited,” Trump said.
The development comes as Trump and Netanyahu are increasingly at odds over the direction of the war. While Trump is scrambling for a deal to end the conflict, Netanyahu wants to resume bombing Iran as he finds himself increasingly cornered politically at home.
