Amid allegations from some quarters about cracks in two houses at the township the Kerala government built for survivors of the 2024 Mundakkai-Chooralmala landslide in Wayanad, Kerala Revenue Minister K. Rajan has said it was “unfair to portray shrinkages detected in tests conducted by the contracted agency as structural cracks.”
Addressing a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday (April 20, 2026), Mr. Rajan said such shrinkages were detected in two out of the 178 houses constructed for the survivors.
